I was at the main stage recording Sam Bush when it started. A friend showed up with an umbrella and i headed back to campsite. Stood out in the 50+mph winds, hail and rain basically the whole time, trying to keep down tents and crappy EZ pop up tent. In between gust i stopped to help out a lady track down her EZ up, which had blown about 200ft away, into someones truck. Broke it down and returnd for more fun at our site. Apparently the radar didn't show anything but two small "yellow" cloud formations, but when they joined forces, well..
we ended up braking down camp, opted for the hotel, then went back for some great music, on to the late night. I did skip sunday, not sure if that was a good idea or not. I would have liked to ave seen Del sitting in with DSO, but I didn't feel cheated either. Great weekend of music, crazy ass storm.
